CBC Casual Games

The Challenge:
E-axis worked with CBC™ Television to increase its website visitor engagement by developing entertaining casual game experiences that could be easily customized and aligned with broadcast programming content - examples include trivia, word search and graphical puzzles.  In each case the content can be continuously updated via simple XML file exchanges that do not require any coding knowledge or development expertise.

The Execution:
The project included the development of ten unique flash game engines, each offering customization with respect to both content and basic visual elements such as sponsor logo placement and color schemes.  In addition to creating the games, E-axis also developed a Facebook© application that added a number of social features and enabled CBC to encourage interaction among both new and existing audiences.

The Result:
CBC has used the casual game format to promote specific programming and related contests including Disney®'s Family Night at the Movies.  The collection of games affords CBC the opportunity to incorporate sponsors, compliment broadcast programming with interactive content solutions and generate significant interest by keeping content fresh through routine updates.

At CBC, we are very careful when it comes to selecting partners and vendors for our children's zone. E-axis delivered a terrific creative proposal, and then produced our content ahead of schedule. It's not often that you can find a shop that can manage to deliver both at the same time. We would not hesitate to work with E-axis again.
